College Basketball/Scholarship info?

I'm a freshman(high school). I've played basketball on my middle school team and I want to know how you can get a scholarship. As of now I'm 5'8-5'9, so I'll grow but I'm not sure, by how much. I play PG/SG. I haven't played for an AAU team. What can I do to get an athletic scholarship? Also, does having a good academic record help(all A's) ?

  1. You have to make yourself known, and you need to start talking to your Varsity basketball coach. Your coach is the middle man between you and the coaches/scouts/athletic directors of the college programs.

Once you're a junior, and if you're a good player, you can put together a highlight reel of sorts and get those scouts interested in you.

Also, PRACTICE! Keep in mind you're not the only kid in America looking to play basketball. Theres gonna be someone bigger, faster, stronger, smarter, and more talented. So keep trying to step your game up and get bigger, faster, stronger, and more educated and your talent will grow.
