will I lose my grants if I go part-time?

Will I get any refund on what I dont use?

My pell grant is $4700

SEOG $600

Work study is $600

  1. If you are attending only part-time, your Pell Grant will be reduced.  And depending on your school's policies, so may your FSEOG and Work Study.  

    Talk to someone in your financial aid office about attending part-time, and how it could affect your financial aid.

    As far as getting a refund, if you still have money left after all your tuition, fees, etc are paid off, then yes, you could get a refund.


  2. If you decide to go part-time, you would probably lose your grant or have it cut.  If your tuition is paid in full and you still have left over money, it goes to you for whatever you want to use it for.  I would get books, supplies, lab stuff, then do something with the rest (booze).
