don't' give me this love is all that matter garbage b/c at the end of the day you need to have somethings in common with the person to sustain relationship. so please tell me why you would or why you would not. also, i know that intelligence is not measured by a degree, but why in the world would someone not want to better themselves in college?...thank you!

  1. I wouldn't marry someone who didn't choose to go to college because, as you say, we wouldn't have much in common.  However, I have to realize that my dad had a Ph.D. and my mom an eighth grade education (because the n***s kicked her out of school at that age), yet she was always intellectually curious, well read, and believed in the education she didn't have a chance to get, so I think I might be open to marrying someone whose lack of an education was not his own choice.

  2. I wouldn't be able to marry someone if I didn't respect their intelligence (and if they didn't respect mine).  That doesn't mean they need an advanced degree, or any degree at all, but they must be intellectually curious - and those people typically go to college.
