  1. No easy engineering majors, although they aren't impossibly hard. This really depends on what you really like. So many people choose a major for arbitrary reasons, hate it, then end up wasting time because they change to something they really like, sometimes with their GPA suffering. Then they find something they really like and college seems easier because they are actually interested. You don't have to choose a major till your junior year at the latest, so no rush. Look at all the million possible things you could do after college, decide where your interests really lie, talk to counselors and family, then decide. Take some engineering classes, but also other different classes so you can try stuff out. You may end up choosing civil engineering, or electrical, or even biotechnology, or finance, or law, stay open. You are on the right track and it'll come to you.

I was a double engineering major, got through two years of college, had an internship, then decided I hated my work and wasn't at all interested in hardware anymore, then changed majors and while working towards it I took a finance class and fell in love with investing. So I switched again and had to really buckle down to finish quickly. But now I have my MBA and work in finance and have a great job paying lots of money.

  2. If you think engineering is easy, you're in for a huge surprise.

Go flip burgers if you want something easy.
