  2. check out fastweb.com and ask your school counselor

  3. Does your high school have a college and career center? If so, you should check with them first. Also, check out www.fastweb.com, on that site you can put in your personal information (including the fact that you are an musical artist) and it will list several scholarships that you are eligible to apply for.

Check out the colleges that you will apply to during your senior year, usually they will have a list of scholarships that you are eligible for. When you audition for a music department, you are also auditioning for scholarships if you are accepted.

On another note (no pun intended), check out www.innerspark .us

it is a summer arts program located on the campus of CalArts in Valencia California. It is 4 weeks long, you receive private lessons every week plus get to participate in a whirlwind of activities and music ensembles. You can attend at any point during your high school career (even if you have graduated from high school). High School Seniors that attend the program are considered for the various scholarships awarded at the culmination of the program.

    Good Luck!!
