College Students... What book bag do you use?

What book bag do you suggest? Needs to be big enough for all my books! I am a freshman...

at first i used just a cute tote/purse bag and it hurt my shoulder really  badly, and eventually...the strap broke, . after that i bought a "Jansport" book bag. it was huge and had padded shoulder straps. it even had an inside poket for a laptop. It was affordable, only about 30 dollars at walmart. dont worry about looking cutesy in college coz its different than highschool.  good luck :-)

messenger bags work best. they carry a lot, have pouches for everything, and dont look dorky. personally, i had a vera bradley bag. they come in a bunch of really cute prints n different sizes and are perfect for carrying books. they can be a little pricey though. but i used the same one all 4 years of college n i actually just packed some stuff for work into it earlier so im getting alot of use outta it!...goodluck in college!

I use a North Face Slingshot backpack.  It's big enough to hold your books, and it has all kinds of extra pockets and partitions for all the extra c**p (calculator, clickers, pens, umbrella, laptop, etc.) you will eventually end up carrying for class too.  Honestly, when I got it, I just liked the color.

I use a Chrome bag. It's a messenger bag, so it sits high on the shoulder and takes the weight off of your back/spine/neck. It's pretty big and holds all of my stuff including my MacBook Pro.

Keep in mind you don't attend 5-7 classes everyday so each day you only need to put in what you will need for that day.

A normal sized backpack works just fine. While you don't have easy access to lockers, college class schedules tend to be lighter than HS schedules (1-3 classes per day) and more spaced out. Also very often its not actually necessary to bring books to class.

Make sure you have a bag that can hold 1-2 books, 1-2 notebooks or a laptop, some pens and some wiggle room for anything else you might need.

i use tote bag and backpack.

but it really depends on what classes i have one what days.

days i have like 2 classes with unheavy books i carry a tote bag and for my days when i have my lectures and lab days and all my books weigh enough to break my back, i carry a backpack.

i dont insist on getting a messenger bag.  personally i dont think theyre big enough and if you have alot of stuff its really annoying. not to mention one side of your shoulder will be more sore than the other.

I, and most girls I see, carry a tote bag, but a lot of people use regular book bags too. It really depends on your preference... because in college no one really cares haha.
