College application/SAT help?

I am taking the SAT in October and November and will apply to college in December. I have never taken the SAT before and would like to take it more than twice but these are the only available dates before application deadlines. If I take the SAT in January or February will those scores go to the colleges I apply to or will they not matter?

Colleges will receive any SAT scores you address to them. Thus, if you choose to retest after you have applied, simply add the name of the college you wish to send your scores to when you sign up for the SAT and the colleges will get them. They will put them in your file and should consider them if you were wait listed or denied. If you were accepted, it would not make any difference.
