College applications essay?

i'm doing the common application for all of my colleges. what is a good topic for my essay?

i was thinking writing about if i could meet anyone in the world(alive or dead) who it would be, or about how a recent trip to france influenced me? or do you have any other suggestions? i want to stand out & do something original

For one of my college essays, I talked about the periodic table of elements.  I talked about my favourite element describes myself, and how I interact with other elements.

I did this because, I thought it was cool and I like science!
