Question:

College degree earning?

would a person who earn their college degree say in economics from state university say san jose state u, make the same money as a person who graduated with another economics degree from UC berkeley, how about in eginnering or accounting, assuming both person work in sf bay area

  1. Initially while you are getting the job, it might make a difference but later your performance will determine your income.

Probably not...Even though its a BA, the person from Berkeley has better resources.  He would probably get more job experience and internships.  Not to mention, Cal is a prestigious school.  Much better than a Cal State.  But it's all up to your resume and connections as well, doesn't mean you won't make as much.

  3. Assuming the courses studied the same material and met the same requirements then yes. Of course employers would be more inclined to take someone from Yale, Berkely etc etc but if you have the grades and are suited for the job then there isn't any reason why not.  

  4. that would totally depend on where you work and how you work. Nobody likes slackers and i don't think berkley would allow slackers in to their campus.
