  1. if you pay more you can have a single room, depending on the college of course.

  2. Most students have roommates freshman and sophomore year, but when they get to be juniors, they can have a single.

  3. Class of 2010

Well I'm not a college student yet, but I will be soon. Well many schools have the option of whether or not you live in a dorm by yourself. Although if your a freshmen, they highly recommand ( as I hear... and sometimes required ) that you have a roomate. Why? Well they want their students to be active and not isolated. Other than that many Juniors or Seniors... tend to live off campus in a apartment... although some do stay in dorms... but have a better option of getting their own.

Oh yeah if your a freshmen I know how odd it can be if your roomate is a upperclassmen... which many wouldn't want. Why? Well they already know the campus well, experience meeting new people already... and might try to be a guardian.

  4. don't be alone go out and meet new people i had dormed with so many different people and i made different friends that way. and AWSOME Partys :)

  5. It depends on the school. Some universities offer single rooms, others do not. Usually you'll be paying more for your own room...just check with the housing office at your school and they'll be able to tell you if they offer single rooms.

The other thing with individual rooms is that they're high-demand and tend to get taken rather quickly, so the sooner you get a hold of housing the better your chances of getting one!
