USC #1? h**l, even the AP has Mizzou #6 over LSU #7 after Mizz BARELY eeked out a pathetic win. BCS gets more disappointing every year

Who do you think should be number one? USC destroyed a team that played in a january bowl game. Georgia beat a d1aa team by less points. Mizzou is a great team, that beat the a top 20 team from last season, LSU beat a team from d1aa. I was actually impressed with the rankings for a change.

Usc stomped Virginia, and Virginia has a decent team, thats why Usc is #1 right now.

I know where you're going with this. AP wanted to make USC national champs a few years ago when they didn't even play in the championship game. YOu can't be champ just by a vote. Why bother with the games if that's the case

Mizzou played a ranked team on a neutral field, LSU played a devision 2 school at home, I don't care who won or by what!!! after week 1???? how can you gripe about that!!!!

Get your facts straight... the BCS rankings dont come out until after Week 8 of the College Football Schedule... these rankings are the Coaches Poll and the AP poll... Plus most teams played Cupcake teams the first week so you just gotta give it a few weeks to settle out.. Wait until conference play starts strong then you will see where everyone stands...

The polls would be much more effective if they would wait until after Oct 1st to start ranking teams.  Otherwise, teams are often sunk by the ridiculously low pre-season rankings they begin with.

As for the BCS, it is much too soon to start complaining about it.  That needs to wait until mid-October or November.
