College if parent is disabled?

Okay so my mother is disabled because she has had 3 strokes and has some other problems.. And well my dad he has visitation rights but I dont ever see him his wife has a really good job ... I am just wondering because Im 17 and starting to work on going to college im excited to go but I dont want to be in a lot of debt getting out of college... Does anyone know if there is grants for children of disabled mothers or parent? I contacted the local college and they told me they wouldnt give me that information untill i filled out a fafsa So If you know anything I appreciate it. Thanks.

If your mom is on disability/social security, part of her payment should be a college fund for you.
