College in the US?

Hi I'm 17 yrs. old. I'm from the Philippines but I'll be studying college in the US, Spartanburg South Carolina. I was just wondering, how much pocket money will I need monthly?

How old are average 1st yr. college students?

Is it advisable to be a working student?

Money, monthly excluding rent, utilities, food and other usual expenditures - you will probably need about $500-600 per month minimum.

Freshman college students typically range from 18-23, sometimes even older.

A working student, as an international student you are only permitted to work 20 hours per week and this must be work carried out on-campus only. Is it advisable? For your first year, I would say no, not until you get used to the educational structure, used to the your surroundings etc.
