  1. It's really what you enjoy, I mean, these courses are 2 years, do you really want to be spending 2 years on something that you are going to hate? Be bored with? That you don't do your best and get the best result because you are so fed up, you can't be bothered to put the work in?

But Business is alright, but personally, computing and business administration.

They all seem alright courses, it's really what YOU will enjoy :)

  2. Personally, I think the Arts & Media sounds the most fun, but after college you have to be able to FIND a job in that area, too, and there aren't a whole lot of positions in that field. Business would probably be a pretty easy thing to get into, but like someone else said, you should really do what you want. It's your job and your future. Don't let someone else decide what you're going to do with your life.

    Hmm...

I understand your desire to earn a good living, so that you can pay your bills and afford nice things, but when it comes time to choose a profession, you have to balance earning capacity with a career that you're going to actually enjoy. You also have to know something about your talents and interests - if you can't imagine yourself standing all day and cutting hair, then "hair and beauty" isn't going to be for you.

If you're not good with numbers, then you probably aren't going to enjoy "business". If you can't stand bratty little kids, you're not going to want to spend the rest of your life in early education.

One great reference for young people who are career hunting is a government publication called the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Name a field that you can find employment in, and the Handbook has a whole write-up on that field, explaining what kinds of skills the job involves, what kind of training or licensing is necessary to get into it, what kind of places people in that profession work in, how many hours a week they usually work, what kind of salaries they get paid, and perhaps most importantly, the outlook for employment in that field.

You wouldn't want to spend years training for a job only to find out that there are very few open positions, would you?

Take a few minutes and look through the handbook - it's all online, so you don't need to go out to the library or spend money on anything.

Good luck to you  -- I hope this helps.
