i have several questions. I'm a high school student that's curious as to what I'm getting myself into. I want to major in journalism when i get to college because i plan on being apart of a music magazine as a career. I'm already trying to set up things for myself, for example; this year i will be apart of my school newspaper and i plan on signing up for yearbook. My questions are; What area of journalism is usually involved for magazines? What are the best colleges to go to for my journalism needs?

(maybe you can add some extra stuff like the courses i would need/want to take and magazines i could read that would be good to load up on inspiring talent, or any good tips)

  1. If you major in Journalism in college then they will require you to take almost all journalism classes they offer. Writing for the school newspaper is good idea, try to become editor if you can. Most schools give you the option of online, broadcast or print journalism. In your case you would pick print.
