I'm going to be a senior in h.s this september & I am stuck deciding what I want to major in. I dont want to switch majors when I'm in college because then I will feel like I just wasted a year of my life.

I like science, chemistry the most. I've almost forgotten everything I learned in chemistry but I'm willing to learn everything again.

I'm not really a fan of biology and I am not so good in physics.

I am good in math, probably my best subject. I don't like it so much since it can be boring but since I'm good in it, I should put it to use.

I have thought about becoming a meteorologist one day but job competitions are high. It really interests me, but people are not too supportive of me majoring in that.

Architecture is also interesting and it requires a lot of math.

What majors and careers are there for someone who likes chemistry and is good in math.

  1. Chemical engineering.  It's the perfect fit.  You'll need to take some physics, but not a whole lot.  It's a career that has huge demand for new graduates, and is also very rewarding financially (not that that should be your focus, but it helps).  Good luck!

  2. High demand for Physician Assistants, PA. Starts at $125,000+. Takes about five years of school and one year as intern. You can get there with various majors that have a leaning towards being an RN, nurse. Look this up on the net.

  3. you could be a chemist..

  4. ever think about accounting or finance since you are good at math?  I was always more interested in sciences and arts, but I took an accounting class and kept getting 100s on exams.  Now I am entering my senior year and I've already been offered 2 full time jobs at accounting firms when I graduate.  Great major with the current economy :)

  5. Chemical Engineering

  6. Pharmacology. Get a bachelors in Chemistry and apply for pharmacology school and you're on your way!
