I need some advice on what to do about money.....I currently work 2 jobs a day all together its about 40 or more hours a week, at just a little more then min. Wage...I worked about 9hours a day while in high skool and have been saving like crazy. My parents have 8kids so I pretty much support myself but at my age its expected (17) I pay for food gas and insurance nd live at home but most of my paycheck goes to gas which keeps going up but I'm not getting paid nemore. My parents both make too much money for me to get student aid and my dad told me he was gunna pay for college so I didn't take out a loan then he backed out now its too late for the 1st semester which is more money then I thought, I wudve gone to s community college had I known but he said he wanted me to go to a good skool and not work so much so now I'm screwed and idk what to do, I'm still a couple thousand short even with my 2500 scholarship....does anyone have any advice on what I shud do??

  3. Sorry your dad did that to you. I would recommend you go to a community college for now. It's better to work less and concentrate on your education than to work yourself to death and get bad grades at the same time. Besides, the first two years of college is just general ed anyway. It's the same whether you get it at a community college or UC. You can always transfer after a couple of years.

PLEASE  NOTE: DO NOT get yourself stuck with a private student loan. I've watch Suze Orman long enough to know those student loans have outrageous interest rates and - literally- go with you to your grave. If you have to, only get government student loans.

    Good luck.
