  1.      It's cool that you're already thinking about what kind of career you would enjoy. For being a furniture designer, many colleges have design programs, usually under the art or architecture department. Inventing isn't really a ready-made major, but you could study general liberal arts or look into schools with programs to design your own major. Either way, there are many possibilities and you have a lot of time to figure out what you want to do. When you go to high school you can try taking electives that relate to your interests so you can see if you like those types of subjects.

  2. There are a number of subjects by which you can study while in college. I commend you for thinking about college so earlier on. You are a bright individual who has a bright future. Have a great day!

  3. For those particular fields you should probably focus on a arts and design school.  A normal liberal arts college probably wont have what your looking for.  BTW, your only 11, and I'm willing to bet by the time you are college age you will be into something completely different.

  4. YES! START INVENTING AND DESIGNING STUFF NOW!!! RIGHT NOW!!! Get comfortable with yourself and what you are capable of and just create things that you want to create, even if they are completely crazy and everyone things you are weird. Just do it and work on getting into a good design school when the time comes. Colleges offers all sorts of independent study and research. Try "New College" in Sarasota Florida, I hear it is really nice there. Good luck to you :)

  5. there's a subject for almost anything under the sun in colleges and universities all over the world...but of course, not everything is offered in just one college.
