what are the best colleges in florida and what are the best one in new york

In NY, there are tons that I know of.  Columbia, NYU, SUNY Binghamton, Fordham...

It depends on what your major is.  I would research the ratio of students to professors, because you are just a number in stadium-seated classrooms.  If you don't mind large classes, go to a large university like UF or FSU.  Honors colleges at the universities do have smaller classes, though.  Also, community colleges have pretty small classes, and Rollin's college is a private university that also has a very intimate feel.  I would advise taking a road trip and visiting the campuses to see which school you feel at home at.

In new york especially there are a lot of great academic schools like columbia and nyu
