Ok, I have a slight problem, I can memorize basically anything but It takes awhile. My question is how do you know what is important in textbooks? I went part time and had enough time just to memorize whole books and hence, got all the questions on the test correct. But, I am going full time and won't be able to memorize 1,000 pages a month. So, how do you choice what you're are going to learn...I mean what's important?

  1. Study your notes from class.  Also if the teacher provides an outline.  Make sure you know the main stuff professor focuses on.  Also make note cards for vocabulary

  2. LISTEN to your professor 1st & foremost, b/c they will tell usually tell you what is on the test. Or maybe most is from notes & only certain things they tell you will be on the test...?

ASK the professor-"What topics or things do I need to pay particular attention to, in order to be more fully prepared for the test."

SKIM-look at key points, vocabulary & the "Learning Objectives" for each chapter-know concepts & an example for each, or the ones the prof tells you!

    Good Luck! :)
