i tryed to apply for the sid stuff, im a single mom, who lives with my mom still... last year i hada job only making 70 dollars a week which got what my son needed at the time. anyways they said since i didnt make enough i needed to claim dependent on my mom... she hasnt filed taxes in 2 years now.. well i have a part time job now (more then 70 bucks a week) and get child support and still live with my mom but no filed taxes from her and she wont give me the documents she needed to file so i could use them to do the non filed tax forms... i only get to live here, she dont give me money or buy me food.. so i dont know what to do becuase i need to go to college. anyone out there who can help me let me know. i just dont understand why its so hard to get in to college!! (my mom dont want me to do better then her, thats why she wont help me)

  1. Go to fastweb.com and fill out a profile and you'll find alot of scholarships that will help you out.


  2. Read this book about federal fin aid.  As long as you have a child you are supporting you are considered "independent' and do not need to list your mothers information on your fafsa.

  3. There should be some way to get in assuming you get the money from a loan. talk to the college reps at the place your applying to maybe? or talk to the people that are in charge of the loan departments
