  1. Most are up front unless you have financial aid they will get your tuition from that. Or the college you attend may have a payment plan also

  2. The Bursar or Student Accounts office is the ones to check with about when your tuition payments are due.

Generally 70-80% of many schools have students using some form of financial aid to pay for their tuition.  This is normally applied for and in place prior to the academic year beginning.  Disbursements are usually set to occur either just before a term begins, or just after.

Even still, the schools business office will send tuition bills and usually request that payment be made about 30 days in advance, but they are flexible in giving you more time if necessary.  Payment plans are almost always available.

Just keep in mind that if you fail to have financial aid in place on time, or make payments on time you may incur late payment fees or interest charges to for tuition owed.

  3. you pay tuition before each semester if you are a full time student.

If by chance you are a part time student, or pay per credit, then you pay for each class at a time, whenever it is that you take that particular class.

  4. Well at my college you pay for it by the semester. Before the Fall Semester starts and before the Spring Semester starts. I would recommend double checking with the registrar of your college to make sure you make your payments on time.

  5. Most colleges have payment options. Some type of arrangement must be made before the semester starts. Check with financial aid office for deadlines.
