Colleges, Supernatural?

Are there any colleges out that that offer courses in the study of the supernatural? I dont mean like "Hunting Spirits 101" I mean like history of legens, like urban legends and myths and talking about witches and wearwolves and there tales and studing the times and all the different myths surrounding them....

  1. I agree, you would probably find one in literature (mythology) or religion.  As stated, it can be used as a general education requirement, or as an elective.  I took one on "death and dying" and it was a very memorable course.  


  2. Yes, I think a lot of colleges offer courses in that that can be taken to fulfill a core or an elective.

  3. Yes, you'd be amazed by how some colleges offer the strangest, funniest, weirdest classes ever.

    At my school, one of the classes we have is this english class that focuses on themes of monsters, fantasy, witchcraft etc. We have this other class, offers only a few units though, that focuses all on Harry Potter!

    Look at the list of classes the school you're interested offers.


  4. If they do, it would be maybe one class at the most, in the religion or literature departments.  There are a few schools that offer a course in parapsychology as well, but again, maybe one class (because it pretty much belongs in the myths section itself).

  5. No.  It might be a short discussion in an anthropology course, but not a major topic of study as an undergrad.  (college professor)
