  1. Most colleges offer these majors.

  2. Univ. of Chicago, Columbia, Yale are considered to be good for Anthropology and Sociology.

Also John Hopkins and MIT are some other options.

  3. I got my Anthropology degree from the University of Virginia.  It was a d**n good education, though Charlottesville isn't exactly a booming metropolis--however, the town does have a good music scene and there is usually something fun to do.

Check out NYU and Columbia.  Badass Anthro programs there.  Berkeley is also incredibly good.

Figure out what kind of anthro you want to study...that can help you figure out which school would be best for you.

  4. University of Michigan is a pretty good school that is known for it's liberal arts degrees. Pretty much any school in the US has the basic liberals arts degrees of sociology and anthropology, so your options are wide open. You're lucky, a lot of the careers I like have specialty degrees that are only available at schools here and there.
