Question:

Collision Centers in Plano, TX?

I arrived here over the weekend (Plano, TX, 75024) and hit a deer that ran across the road on my way up here (pretty terrifying experience). Anyways, I'm not familiar with this area and I don't want to drive back to my hometown until I get the car fixed. The car is driveable and nothing mechanically seem to be damaged, but I'd rather get it fixed before making the long trip home. I took it to one place and they're telling me the damage is estimated $2,200... which seems a little high to me. The front driver fender, bumper, and drive headlights need to be replaced. I'm hoping someone would be able to refer a good place for me to take my car to with reliable service and reasonably priced.

Looking to pay out of pocket and avoid going through insurance (because it takes longer for them to process stuff and I want to get out of here soon).

  1. $2200 sounds cheap for what you described, I had a very minor dingfrom a hit and run parking lot incident that eyeballed looked like $500 maybe and fixed it turned into $1500. I used Service King and they did quality work. They have locations everywhere.

  2. If you are in far north Plano, this may not be a great option, but if you are further south, check out the Maaco in Addison. I had some work done there and they worked with me based on my insurance adjustment so that I ended up paying next to nothing by only replacing what was necessary and fixing the parts that they could. Their work was excellent and the staff was nice.
