Newcastle United captain and centre-half extraordinaire, Fabricio Coloccini was recently called up by the Argentine national side for their up-and-coming clash with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 on the 15th of August.

This is the player’s first call-up to the national team in two years.
The 30-year old defender has recently expressed his delight at being summoned for the national team and has also spoken about Newcastle’s prospects for the coming season. Coloccini hopes the Magpies can reach greater heights next season and build upon the
success they enjoyed in the previous campaign.

Coloccini will be battling with the likes of Federico Fernandez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Campagnaro-c16394, for a spot in the heart of Argentina’s defence. The player recently expressed his delight at the call-up and what he thinks about Newcastle’s success over the course of
one season. He believes that Newcastle should hold on to its key players and add a few more to the squad.

The player is also happy to see the likes of Romain Amalfitano, Gael Bigirimana and Curtis Good join the Magpies this summer. Speaking to English newspapers, he said:
"The good players we have are still here. That is very important. We want to keep the same team.  We hope to do that and look forward. I'm still excited about the season ahead, of course I am.”
