Who were the founders of Colombia?

Well there were various native tribes in what is now Colombia. The ones I know the most about were muiscas or chibchas. Spain colonized in the 1500's and it was called Nueva Granada (along with panama venezuela ecuador ect)  untill the  1800's when Simon Bolivar help them to gain their independence from spain and change the name to Colombia.

I think the Spanish were the founders of Colombia. They have been everywhere in Latin America.

Thank God, the USA was colonized by the British. Despite, southern states were Mexican.

Florida was colonized by the Spanish but the rest of the country was not.
