Colonoscopy Question?

I am 26 years old and need to get a colonoscopy. No family history just to make sure everything is alright b/c I had bleeding for a few weeks. I am really scared about it. What can I expect from it,will it hurt and when do i get the results?...Thanks :)

the preperations are the worst part- you have to drink a LOT of really gross stuff
