Color contacts and glasses..?

Question

Yesterday, I went to the eye doctor for a check up & he started talking about contacts. I guess he thought I was really blind since he said wouldn't it be nice to watch tv w/o wearing your glasses. I told him I only wear it for school (take off glasses at lunch & when i'm doing my classwork.. wear it when im copying something or reading something off the board.)

I have bad vision, & almost going blind XD. One eye is -2.50 & other eye is -2.75.

I don't know if i should get contacts because I'm just gonna wear them for school.

Can you wear contacts all day at school? Like what im doing to glasses but im not gonna take them out of my eye.

Would it damage my eye?

He said you get to choose between glasses or contacts..

any advices please?

Well i got colored contacts and after a year of wearing them everyday to school my vison worsened like only .25 .. it doesn't damage your eye but it will make it a little worse i guess. i don't see how one eye is -2.50 and the other is -2.75 :S

Contacts are amazing! I used to feel so lame in my glasses. I got contacts when I was 10 years old and i'm now 14 and 1/2 and I couldn't be happier with them. It does no damage to your eye. In fact, I would think it would kind of sheild your cornea and pupil from any debris. I wear my contacts all day, everyday. Which is all day to school and until I go to bed. I ahve never gotten an eye infection nor have I ever had problems with my contacts. I can now put them in within 15 seconds. So they are definitely a good choice.
