  1. The Diamondbacks have a 5 game lead over the Rockies, 6 in the loss column, and although it doesn't seem like much it is huge with so few games left to be played.  Should the Diamondbacks go just 12-12 in their remaining 24 games the Rockies would have to go 17-3, in their remaining 20 games, to win by one game.  And, the fact is the Diamondbacks have been playing .500 ball all year long and a 12-12 finish would be the norm.  When looking at the Rockies they have not had a stretch all season long where they have won 17 out of 20 games.  It just appears to big too big a mountain to climb and I don't see the Rockies duplicating what they were able to accomplish last year.

  2. Too far out. I doubt they'd make it and as the other people said, the Diamondbacks are a problem to them.

  3. Lightning doesn't strike twice and last year was a huge fluke. The Dodgers and Diamondbacks have enough talent to limp into the playoffs. Of course that team will be eaten alive by the Cubs.

  4. Their magic number as of today is 19, which means for the rest of the season the total number of (Rockies losses + Arizona/Dodgers wins) must equal less than 19.

If the Rockies win the rest of the games this season they have a slight chance.  But hey, it happened last year I guess.

  5. They have about an 8% chance

  6. No. Last year they got in as wildcard, this year Brewers are too strong. They need to catch up 2 teams in the division. They might have a chance to catch Dodgers but Webb alone might probably get the D-back in the playoffs.
