Colorado Rockies crush Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 – MLB Recap
The Colorado Rockies crushed the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Monday, May 4 at Chase Field in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Rookie Christian Friedrich played wonderfully for the Rockies as he helped his team cruise pass the Diamondbacks with style.
His pitching was accurate as he gave no score in his seven innings’ spell receiving only four hits, he was the only difference in Rockies win. He struck out four Rockies batters and maintained his 4.50 ERA.
"Me and Whitey know each other pretty well," Friedrich said. "Us coming in and doing a good job, it's just fun to help out the team and get wins."
Later manager Jim Tracy said on his team tremendous effort in which they never gave any chance to their opponents to score a single run, "The competitiveness of our starting pitching has improved immensely, Over the course of the last two days, that's 13
2/3 innings from two young kids and two great efforts, from both White and Friedrich. The more times we're able to do that, the more confidence they develop, the more they start to believe in themselves, the more they learn."
On the other hand, Joe Saunders proved real disaster for the Diamondbacks. He was too waivered and did not look comfortable on the mound.
He gave four runs and eleven hits leaving his team in miserable situation where they could not recover and eventually lost the game for his team.
From start to end, the Rockies kept the Diamondbacks under pressure and never gave their opponents a single chance to score in entire nine innings.

The Rockies led the Diamondbacks in first innings and from there on wards, they kept their lead until win.
In the meanwhile, this particular win also gave the Rockies slight boost as they already sitting quite comfortable in the fourth position in the National League West Division.
Currently with 24-30 win loss record along with .444 winning percentage, the Rockies know as if they continued their consistent run, they will end up quite near to post season qualification.
