Colorado Rockies defeat Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 – MLB Update

Colorado Rockies defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 in the fourth and final game of their four-match regular series encounter on Monday, September 24 at Coors Field in Denver.
Rockies' entire roster did well in the field and rattled the Diamondbacks with great determination. Colorado took an early lead in the game and defeated the Diamondbacks with a two-run advantage.
"When you get effective starting pitching we can be a very effective ballclub," manager Jim Tracy said. "We can hit, and we've done it all year. Now, we get the other parts squared away the way we want, we can build on it. Losing nine games in a row, we can get that filed away.”
Left fielder Charlie Blackmon scored one run and hammered two hits on his three at-bats. He did well on the plate and maintained his slugging percentage at .373.
Tyler Colvin batted four times and scored one run and smashed two hits along with an RBI. He also played well and showed his aggressive game while he maintained his slugging percentage at .530.
Right fielder Andrew Brown scored one run and smashed two hits along with two RBIs on his .459 slugging percentage.
Along with batters, the Rockies' pitchers also played well and kept the Diamondbacks' hitters under pressure during the entire game.
Tyler Chatwood pitched 5.2 innings and received two runs and three hits. He was hammered with a homer but he still managed to strike-out three potential Diamondbacks’ hitters.
He stood tall against the experienced Rockies' batting line-up and maintained his 5.49 ERA.
“Getting ahead and staying ahead," Chatwood said. "I've been building off my last two outings. The results weren't there but I felt good about them. Just building off that and kept it going."
On the other hand, the Diamondbacks’ hitters and at the same time pitchers played defensively which proved disastrous in the end as they were defeated with bitter disgrace.
Trevor Cahill pitched six innings and received three runs and nine hits on his 3.86 ERA. It was a poor performance by the three-year Major League veteran as he literally seemed out of form in Monday’s game.
