Colorado Rockies humiliated by Miami Marlins 6-7 – MLB Recap
The humiliating streak goes-on as the Colorado Rockies once again proved just another team for the Miami Marlins, who usually do not give any respect to this type of low play as what their opponents showed on Tuesday, May 22 at Marlins Parks, Miami.
The Marlins defeated the Rockies 7-6 and won the series 2-0 with one game still to play on Wednesday, May 23.
In the first game, Mark Buehrle was the key winning factor for the Marlins, but this time around less experienced Ricky Nolasco stood tall against the offensive batting lineup of the Rockies.
He remained confident on the mound for six innings and allowed four runs only. Giving away the eight hits in his outing, Nolasco also helped the Marlins with the bat when he drove in an all important tiebreaking run in bottom third and eventually gave his team a bigger jubilation of beating the Rockies and strengthened their own win record to three straight games.
"I was on the edge of my seat, I'm glad we were able to bend but not break, A lot of guys said congratulations. I appreciate that. Thanks to the Marlins organization for giving me the opportunity to be here this long. We're starting to swing the bats more, It's a lot easier to pitch when you have confidence your hitters are going to give you some runs. Everything is kind of clicking for us now." Nolasco said in detail about his great outing.
Later Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said for Nolasco and his superb performance, “A lot of great pitchers went through this organization, He should be proud."
On the other hand, the Rockies starter Juan Nicasio had a bad evening as he gave a six runs and nine hits in his five inning of play. His pitching literally cost a game for the Rockies who are still going through one of their worst times with six consecutive defeats in the big event.
The Miami Marlins, though have won the series, but still will be expecting another win form the Rockies when they once again play on Wednesday, May 23.
