Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki will need surgery, say team sources
Several team sources of Colorado Rockies are saying officially now that their shortstop and six-year veteran Troy Tulowitzki will need a surgery on his left leg order to play in the ongoing Major League Baseball season.
The already injured Tulowitzki recently had a MRI which revealed all the details about his left leg and on which the procedure in needed.
As soon as this was hit in the media, the media personals rushed towards the Rockies management who is currently taking care of Tulowitzki in Philadelphia and where his initial tests had also being taken.
The first person from the Rockies side came out in the media was their GM Dan O’Dowd who explained in detail about his current condition and the future steps that the management is thinking to take in a positive and quick manner.
"That's a blessing knowing what it is, but the downside of that is more than likely he's lost for eight weeks. That's what we are planning on and will adjust off that," general manager Dan O'Dowd told The Denver Post. "Like any club, we are built around our best players. Even if we were having an average year rather than a bad year, losing him would be problematic."
Later close friend and veteran Jason Giambi said for Tulowitzki, "The hardest thing for him was not knowing what was wrong, That can be so frustrating as a player. This is not good news, but it's good mental news for him.”
Experts believe that Tulowitzki, who will now miss some crucial time on the field, certainly received a surprise when he heard this news to get prepare for a long rest.
Doctors think that Tulowitzki will miss three to four weeks after he will be operated.
In the meanwhile, this is not the first time that Tulowitzki will need that long rest from the field instead in the past; he had also been injured and remained out of play for seven to eight week.
Tulowitzki’s injury is certainly a bad sign for the Rockies but the Colorado management is also ready to bring a potential replacement for him.
