Colorado Summer Vacation?

I'm interested in spending a week or two up in Colorado next summer. I'd like the following in a rental cabin:

A. a killer view

B. Close to mountain hiking

C. Close to enough restaurants that I won't have to turn on the stove

D. Kinda' quiet

E. Have aircard coverage (bonus for Verizon aircard, but I can get my hands on an AT&T card if I need to.)

F. Under $1400 for two weeks. (If it's got a stone fireplace or a hot tub or was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright or something, I might go above that.)

Bonus points for being within an hour or two of Mesa Verde, and/or with several ghost towns in the area, but these are not absolutely required.

I'll bring my own books and laptop and want to go hiking (hopefully with the BF) and just not doing anything of any note or merit, except for maybe some sight seeing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

  1. i would suggest you go to garden of the gods it is a nature center thing and you can walk around the whole park.

i also would suggest going up pikes peak idk if you would want to go on the tram or hike or drive in a car partly up and park and hike the rest. but you have to go on a very mild day or you can't go all the way to the top. you can also go the cave of the winds and seven falls.

cave of the winds is like a tour you go underground and you learn about the ghosts there and it is really amazing. if you take the tour of the cave of the winds you need to stand in the back because there is this ghost lady that follows you and she leaves lavender perfume everywhere so you can smell it.

    hope i helped.
