Colored Contacts!!!?

Question

I have colored contacts , my eye doctor said they hold for 30 days, but why cant i wear them for a longer time, do the contacts hurt your eyes after a while, or are they bad for you?

I dont get it.

I can't tell you why, but you can get permanent ones.  That's what I have, I've had them for like 2 years without changing them (of course you have to get them off every night).  But I'm not sure if colored come permanent, mine are clear.  Ask your Dr.
