Colored boxs in the corner of Yu-gi-oh?

question from my brother.Yu-gi-oh cards,in the right hand corner there is a gold or silver box,whats up w/ that? does that prove if its real or not? If so what color is the real card?

silver means its just a regular card

gold means its first addition and yes gold sells for more if its in good condition

it prouves that it's a real card pluse the ones with gold corrners are speshel cards!

it has nothing to do with fraud cards. if it is gold it is a 1st edition card.
