Colored contacts..safe?

If not prescribed by an eye doctor but bought from a beauty supply store are they safe to wear?

  1. No, they are not safe because you don't know where they came from, you won't know if your eyes can support contacts, they won't be fitted for your eyes, you won't be educated on how to care for them, and your health won't be monitored while you wear them.  They could irritate or damage your eyes.  It is also illegal (in the U.S.) to sell contact lenses (even cosmetic ones) without a prescription.  So just see an optometrist first and you'll know that the contacts and your eyes are safe.  :)


  2. can i ask where you got these non prescribed colored contacts??  

  3. as long as they don't have a perscription in it, its just a plain contact, then yes.  

  4. you need to have the fit checked first
