Colored flags at Indy 500 and their significance?

The checkered flag designates the end of the race...yellow caution. Please tell me the others..like the beginning flag to start the race

  1. Start is a green flag, black means you caused a problem, get off the track, white means one lap to go..


  2. Green - race is on, go full speed, used to start the race and any restarts

    Yellow - caution, race to the start-finish line, after that maintain the pace speed, do not pass anyone

    Red - stop, usually there is a bad crash or debris on the track that needs to be cleaned up

    Blue with Orange Stripe - move over and let a car pass

    White Flag - cars on the lead lap have one more lap

    Checkered Flag - race is complete

    Black Flag - Usually pointed and waved at a car, that car is to proceed to the pits, and a timed stop/penalty usually is applied

    Black Flag with White Cross - pointed/waved at a car, the car is no longer being scored (usually menas someone ignored the Black Flag)
