I'm thinking of using colored text to high light important things in my resume, since its quite cluttered with information, such as contact information and name to make it easier to find. Is this a good or bad idea?

  1. Bad idea. A resume should be professional, which means stick to black & white.

  2. yes bad. bold the important stuff!

  3. bad idea, try shaving off any clutter, most info

in the least amount of fluff. Most people do not

have the time to sift through the pretty. Just the

    facts ma'm.

  4. Employment-

  5. bad idea, bold it instead, if it is cluttered shorten it, resume should never be over two pages at the most.  Most prospective employers  dont read past the first page.  Keep it short and simple, touch on the most important tasks that you did at your jobs and go into detail during your interview.  Good Luck!

  6. I wouldn't do it as many resumes are copied and faxed especially in large corporations.  Your resume should look professional and not like a coloring book.  Sound like you need to do some decluttering too.
