Question:

Colors for a wedding in the fall.

I plan on having these small green apple place card holders. I want to somehow incorporate that same color into the wedding colors. I also like orange for a color option. I am not sure what to do! Any suggestions? What about the green apple color and gold?

  1. do jewel tones. like a deep purple and the apple green. golds and burnt oranges, not bright ones.

  2. when i think of fall, i think of all the beautiful colours the leaves turn, like burnt auburn and deep dark greens =]

look at nature haha. It gives me a lot of inspiration!! :)

  3. How about apple and an amber color together? I think that would look beautiful together and be a unique take on the typical fall colors. Or I love green and yellow together as well. Less "fall'looking" but still perfectly ok.

  4. Orange and browns

  5. i agree with the jewel tones. think emerald and amethyst. it even sounds beautiful. :)

  6. I would go for green and gold. BEAUTIFUL and stunning, really. This color at David's Bridal has always been one of my favorites:

You could even use gold as your main color, with details in green (green sashes, flowers, the apple place card holders.

I would also find a way to have the apples incorporated into the centerpieces:

And you could give out caramel apples as favors:

I'm not usually a "theme" person when it comes to weddings, but I'm likin' the whole apple thing.

But definitely green and gold (with maybe some chocolate brown accents) would be great colors.

    Happy planning!

  7. I think that if the greens, golden browns, deep reds and oranges will complement the fall well but I wouldn't pick more than two together because it may look distracting or too busy looking. I think the green apple color laced with gold throughout would look cool and orginal and rich but let the green be the main color and the gold be like the trim. You could use a variey of greens too in levels like when you walk into the room the tables or decorating are pale green and as you go deeper into the room the greens get darker like in fall with the gold throughout. Looks pretty in my mind,

  8. I lov ethe idea of using green apple color.  I think that you could easily do that green with perhaps a chocolate brown (think leaves), and ivory accents.  Or the green with other apple colors, red and golden would be very pretty also.  You can even use apples in your decorating by using vases with apples in them (or for a more rustic feel, apple barrels and baskets!) for center pieces and giving every guest a candied apple as their favor.  :)

  9. I would do browns and golds with the green.

  10. do apple colors, green, red and goldens
