I have kind of tan light beige walls in my master bedroom.. I have one wall with a bay window and high ceilings. My husband loves green so in summer months I have comforters that are light green and other side (reversal) beige and in the winter a darker green with a couple lines at the bottom that are darker green yet. What color should I paint the bay window ? I want to keep the room looking larger than it actually it.

  1. when re-decorating home, bedroom or any other room, always try to choose colors according to feng shui. in this case you will activate powers of 5 elements (water, earth, metal, wood and fire) and support all your lucky "areas" - this will attract love, romance, wealth, money, prosperity, luck etc etc

    good luck!

  2. a light blue ceiling will make it look higher. white walls will make the room appear spaced out. but white walls are so boring so i would throw in lots of colorful accessories.

  3. white is a color that always makes things look larger. You might try that. It makes things look clean too. The only other color would be the light beige. Good luck.

  4. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "amazing gray" (# 7044) might look terrific.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  5. pink yellow, white, blue

  6. white is the best to make it look larger, dark colors will make it look smaller

  7. The website below suggests using soft, light hues to make a room look bigger. They give a room a more open and airy feel. There are also some other tricks to making a room look larger, like not filling the room with clutters, and sticking to one color palette. Another suggestion is to decorate the walls with mirrors. This helps the room appear a lot larger than it is. Check out some cool wall mirrors here:
