i had a coloscopy and biopsy done yesterday on my cervix. my gyno said he put some sort of scab thing over where the biopsy was done and i shouldn't bleed at all from it. then last night i a lot of brownish discharge started to come out and there is still a lot today. is this normal after having that done if he put the scab over where the biopsy was taken? and if so how much longer can i expect it?

  1. I would call your doc and let them know.  I didn't bleed at all after my colposcopy and biopsy.

  2. Yes, that's totally normal.  I had a colposcopy and biopsy done too and had the same kind of discharge for a couple of days.  The brown discharge is just from the solution the doc puts on to stop the bleeding after the biopsy.  Don't worry, it's normal!  By the weekend I would say the discharge should lessen quite a bit.  I hope this helped!  Good luck!
