Colour to use when painting teddy-bear?

i am painting a teddy-bear and my colour is not turning out right

  1. If you are working with oils....

    I would think using 'wet-on-wet' technique would work best.

    Base area in white, while still wet use a white base with a bit of yellow, a touch of red, and a touch of blue.

    OR White, with a bit of green and touch of red. Either way will produce a variety of shades of brown.

    Dabbed and shaded over the wet white will tone the color some and allow shading.


  2. Depends on the gender of the teddy-bear. Usually it's pink for a female, blue for a male.

  3. red green yellow and a dab of white. if you want a yellowish brown. highlight edges with a whiter version of the same color.
