Do you think Colt Brennan could be next good 6th round QB if Campbell doesn't work out like Matt Hasselbeck, Mark Bulger, Derek Anderson and Tom Brady?

  1. Well it would be a lot further down the road if this were to even happen, because hes still behind Jason Campbell, a fairly effective player who hasnt given the coaching staff any reasons to bench him whatsoever. He led the team to the playoffs last season, why start a rookie over him? And his backup, Todd Collins, filled in fine while Campbell was injured.

So he has two capable QBs ahead of him, plus youre judging him on preseason games against 2nd and 3rd team defenses, which means absolutely nothing. Colt Brennan could be a good NFL QB, but it remains to be seen how effective he can be in the regular season and whether he can give the coaches a legitimate reason to start him over both Jason Campbell and Todd Collins, although Collins wont be around for much longer.

  2. yes yes yes

  3. I think Campbell will stuggle a little bit this year while learning the new system (probably something like 18 TD, 16 INT, 3100 yds)

Brennan is obviously more familiar with the system from his Hawaii days.  But he's not going to take over anytime soon.  Plus Collins proved last year that he is a capable QB.

  4. I wish because Campbell sucks...Campbell will prolly have has many if not more INT than TD and won't pass for more than 3200 yards.

  5. For starters, Jason Campbell knows this base type of offense. It's West Coast. He just has to learn Jim Zorn's version of it. Jason ran west coast at Auburn. Every coach has their own little tweaked version of it. Jason Campbell can be very successful and under center for the skins for a long, long time. The only issues that they have had happened tonight, and that mainly was breakdown in protection, dropped balls, and just overall sloppy play. Just because a team loses in preseason 47-3 doesn't mean that its the QB's fault, or that the QB isn't going to work out in the long run, it just means that the team has a few things to work on as a whole. Now if it was the qb's fault as to why the were losing, say an entire season or at least the biggest part, then that qb might be looking for another job. Bottom line is Campbell will be the starting QB this year in Washington, unless he is injured. As far as Colt Brennon  being the next Tom Brady, who knows? How many people knew Tom Brady was Tom Brady, before he became the "Tom Brady"

  6. I hope so hes a stud, I watched him a lot in Hawaii

  7. Brennan has the skill and cunning to be come another Derek Anderson or Tom Brady....just not for a few more years. He needs time to develop and to beat out Jason Campbell.

  8. I think I'll pass on the Colt Brennan bandwagon.

Jason Campbell wont suddenly become second string, the guy has learned the West Coast Offence quickly and I doubt he will have a bad season.

  9. I think the fans like Jason Campbell...not to mention Jim Zorn does too...So, don't count on Brennan suddenly becoming the starter unless he LOOKS like Derek Anderson or Tom Brady in practice or there are injuries to Campbell and Todd Collins
