As far as I know, no he never had a gun. He was just that gangsta that no one ever messed with him.

I watched every single one of his episodes and never saw him carry a gun.  He was so awesome and funny to watch!   As to why he never carried one I'm sure he never felt he needed one while he was investigating murders.  He was such an interesting and likable fellow that no one wanted to do him any harm.  They just wanted to be cleared of any suspicions related to the crime.

no he did not have a gun on him. he did not need one. i though he would get somebody to pretend to be him when he had to qualify on the gun range. he had a gun, he simply never kept it on him.
