  1. BAHAHAHAHAHA... thats a good one, my canucks have a better chance of winning, and thats not saying too much.

  2. i liked how they looked last season at times.. they could make the playoffs if their offense really comes to life.. umberger and Torres will really help out..so will Backman and Tyutin on the back end....they definitely look stronger.... I really liked Vyborny , too bad he's not playing in the NHL this year.. but overall, you're right they do look good..

  3. Morgan,

I agree with you.Its time to get excited, and be ready for the wins.

We are missing a few of those players listed, but have improved tons too.

I think a bunch of people will be eating crow, and Columbus will at least make the playoffs.

And Leclaire has been back and forth on the contract issue, but I think its a matter that will be resolved shortly.

    Go CBJ

  4. They LACK defense.

    they got who? Commodore?

they have Mediocre defense at BEST.

chances are they probably wont make it to the playoffs. if they do, chances are they're facing a team like Detroit, Dallas, etc. and wouldn't last 5 games.

Federov is in Washington by the way, Foote is in Colorado i believe and Modin is gone somewhere.

CHANCES ARE that Filatov goes to a russian team.

that's my opinion. i think he Sign with a russian team, because Filatov isn't signed by columbus i don't think so he could go to Russia if he wanted to.

  5. You know John Buccigross on back then ESPN NHL 2nite once said" Some day Detroit and Columbus will be an equivalent rivalry to NCAA Michigan vs Ohio state" I, think he was smoking crack. Columbus still has a long way to go, and for a club that has been in the NHL less than 10 years, all losing I may add, can't even be on Detroit's level, let alone a rivalry. WIN 1ST COLUMBUS, before you look at the big picture.

edit: Foote is back in Colorado.

  6. Dud ethey need Defense fedorov is in washington sorry but it would be lucky if they made the playoffs

  7. Fedorov's in Washington and Modin is gone somewhere else I just forget where....Either way definatly not....Montreal is gunna win..

  8. Colombus is kind of terrible but good guess. Umberger is way overrated and they are hyping him up way too much, he isn't that good, they lost Zherdev who was arguably their second best player so no they have no shot. Colombus would be lucky to make the playoffs especially when they are in the same division as Detroit, Chicago and Nashville which are three teams that were better last year and on paper are better this year. Colombus is looking at second to last in the division not even remotely a stanley cup.

  9. they might be good but won't have a chance at the cup

  10. Columbus will play a boring "right wing lock" and  still miss the playoffs. Dont believe me? See Hitchcock!

    Fedorov, Foote are all gone!

Modin is still there. But often injured.

Filatov may play the OHL or AHL for a few months or the whole season

  11. All the way to where? Kings Island? 'Cause they ain't goin' too far in the Playoffs -- if they get there at all!

  12. Chris, you're spot on except Filatov. He will not be going to a russian team. He has said that he does not want to, and russian teams are trying to keep him there illegally. He has said he wants to play in north america, eve if that means Junior rather then the NHL. He'll probalby be playing for the jackets though. There is however, no way he's staying in Russia. Kid has had his sights set on the NHL.

the jackets don't have a lot really. And they're not going to win the cup. Playoffs, perhaps. But not the cup.

  13. Get out of the basement lad...your brain is being effected by the mold spores!

  14. Not quite, york isnt the player he used to be, federov, foote and modin are elswhere, and torres is at most a second liner, umberger is not a #1 centre, and filatov could be a bust, hopefully and probably not, but you never know, they are also missing a #1 dman
