Colyrow Lass’ confident about the RGOA Members Trophy Race
It is highly likely that the four-year-old black and white b***h, Colyrow Lass’, will swing back into form for claiming the RGOA Members Trophy Race on Wednesday, 29th August at Romford over 575 metres flat. The £140 prize money race will be contested
by Fabulous Samba, Bonville Star, Bernies Den, Oneco Beauty and Pas Buster.
Westmead Hawk’s four-year-old daughter has been racing since 2010 and has religiously raced at Romford only. She broke into the new season on 5th January, 2012 in the Grade S1 575 metres flat race at Romford. She took up the runner-up’s position
after racing for 36.24 seconds and missing the winner’s spot by 2 ½ lengths.
The race was won by, Laurens Lilly, in 36.04 seconds.
It took her nearly six months to win the first race of the season. She won the Grade S2 575 metres flat race on 21st June, 2012 at Romford. The Paul Young trained got crowded after racing from the first trap, was challenged when racing sixth and
then ran in, reaching the other end of the wire in 36.12 seconds.
She led by short head’s distance and set Ardant Owen as the runner-up who timed the track distance in 36.12 seconds. Coming at terms with the third position was, Cobblers Dream.
After missing the three races that came her way, the four-year-old won the Grade S2 575 metres flat raced on 26th July, 2012 at Romford. She broke into an early pace after leaving the third gate, bumped when racing third, overthrew the challenge
and timed the track distance in 36.68 seconds.
The favourite entry defeated Quivers Serena by ¾ of a length as she timed the track distance in 36.74 seconds.
Reserving the third position was, Ardant Owen.
She then took 35.92 seconds to grab the Grade S2 Coral Supporting The NSPCC Stakes on 4th August, 2012 at Romford over 575 metres. She sped out of the third gate, raced by the rails and clocked the track distance the quickest.
The next two races of the Paul Young trained had her finishing fourth and sixth. She is backed by 7 to 2 chances of being successful in the race tonight.
