Combat engineer question?

okay i scored a 50.45% on the practice asvab at 4test.com. does that qualify me for combat engineer in the Marines? also how does mos school go for combat engineers like will i learn to build-blow up- and defend or will i be 1 thing how does that work?

  1. dude, engineer school is the $hit!!!

    you learn construction, demolition and fortification.

    there are several jobs we do. wood frame construction, concrete block construction, pouring concrete, setting up a perimeter w/ concertina wire, mine removal, demolition, mine detection, tree cutting(learn to fall timber across a road to block vehicle and tank access), making tank ditches w/ explosives...there's more that i can't think of.

    you get to do it all. it's the best job if you don't like repetitive activities. and you'll be a marine so you'll also be adept at using all of the weapons the corps uses.
