Combination/Permutation Help! How do you do this problem?

Question

A license plate has 2 digits followed by 4 letters, how many different plates can be made?

i tried: 10*9*26*25*24*23, but its not the answer in the book.

The ones that say 10*10*26*26*26*26 are correct.

(It's also 10^2*26^4.)

But the one that includes 6! is just plain wrong.

firstly its 10*10*26*26*26*26 u can have same letters!!

secondly the numbers and letters can also be jumbled

therefore its 6!*10*10*26*26*26*26

10 x 10 x 26 x 26 x 26 x 26 = 45697600
